250mm HDPE Pipe PE100 PN6 6m

Quote 250mm PE100 PN6 6m sticks (SDR26) from Alberton. Plan plant offload and fusion, then confirm the datasheet before you order.

250mm OD PE100, catalogue class PN6 / SDR26, supplied as 6m sticks. This is the large end of the PN6 stick range we list before 355mm project pipe. It is still a thin-wall class, not a PN10 or PN16 250mm main.

Treat delivery as a civils drop, not a merchant counter sale. 6m x 250mm sticks need a clear laydown, bearers, and a lifting plan. String on rollers; do not drag. Check ends for ovality before they go into the clamps. Use the HDPE pipe weight chart only as a planning aid, then confirm mass and wall on the manufacturer datasheet.

Butt fusion is the default on 250mm straight runs: the crew needs a machine whose range covers 250mm, trained operators, and space to align a 6m stick. Electrofusion at this OD is a specified fitting decision, not a convenience coupler from a small-bore kit. Compression does not belong on this size as a standard joint. Kit pipe with the high pressure and electrofusion line so reducers, stubs, and tooling are quoted together.

Pricing is on enquiry. Send the pipe schedule, stick count, jointing method, and offload notes. Confirm project spec before substituting another 250mm class. Contact the branch for availability and quote terms.

Questions we hear often

Do I need plant to offload 250mm x 6m sticks?
Yes, plan for mechanical handling. A 250mm 6m PE100 stick is a plant item, not a bakkie carry. Confirm mass from the datasheet and agree the offload method before delivery.
Should 250mm PN6 be electrofused or butt-fused?
Butt fusion is the usual method on 250mm straight runs. Electrofusion is used where the procedure allows, but fittings, clamps, and power must match this OD. Confirm the approved method on the project spec.
Can I join 250mm PN6 to 250mm pipe of another class?
Matching OD is not enough. SDR and PE grade must match the approved jointing procedure. Confirm both prints and the manufacturer datasheet before you fuse dissimilar classes.
