How we work with you on site reality
South African sites often mix planned design with field fixes. We expect photos of existing pipe stamps, sketches with approximate chainages, and honest notes about access constraints. That lets us propose alternatives that are more likely to arrive once, not three times, and match what your fusion or rubber-ring crews can install the same day.
We commonly bundle fittings ahead of pipe when storage is limited, or reverse that order when long lengths must land first. Tell us your programme. We align drops to the crew, not the other way around.
Manholes and inspection chambers
Old civils packs treated manholes and inspection chambers as part of the drainage drop, not as an afterthought. We still get those enquiries from Gauteng civils and building drainage crews.
We do not publish a fake chamber catalogue here. Openings, invert levels, riser height, cover load class, and whether the chamber is plastic, concrete, or a hybrid stack all change the quote. Send:
- Opening size and whether you need a reducing cover or a full-size lid
- Invert and incoming OD (and whether the main is structured-wall or solid-wall)
- Load class or traffic note from the drawing
- Whether the chamber is new-build or a replacement in an existing benching
Ask the branch for the current list. If a named chamber is not listed, we will say so and flag what the engineer needs to approve before we offer an alternate.

Inspection pieces on the pipe run (rodding eyes, access junctions, and similar fittings) are a different conversation from a chamber. Name them separately on the BOM so we do not kit the wrong accessory.
Wastewater check valves on 110mm drainage
Backflow on a foul connection is a drainage problem, not a pressure-pipe problem. Where the drawing calls for a lockable non-return on a 110mm wastewater line, see the Maxiflow 110mm check valve. Confirm OD, gradient, and the drainage standard on the drawing before you treat it as a substitute for another pattern.
Do not pick that valve from an SDR/PN pressure table.
